In 2022 I decided it was time to tackle my bucket list. First thing I wanted to do was go bear hunting. I had no idea where to start looking for a reputable outfitter, so I searched the internet. I found Stone Horse Outfitters, read all the reviews and then hit research mode. Everything I found told me these were the guys to make it all happen. So I contacted Reid and set everything up. My hunt was in May and when I arrived it was more than I expected. Everything was handled professionally and reinforced my decision that this was the place to go. It was an amazing experience, they did everything right and I got 2 bears! It was worth the 1700 miles I drove from Wisconsin and I plan on doing it again! Reid and the entire team were exceptional and because of them I was able to put a check mark in the bear hunt box on my bucket list! Exceptional Experience with Stone Horse Outfitters: The perfect Bear Hunt: We recently finished our bear hunt with Stone Horse Outfitters, and I can confidently say that it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment we booked the trip to the very last moment of our trip, Stone Horse Outfitters surpassed all expectations. First and foremost, the staff at Stone Horse Outfitters are true professionals in their field. Their expertise and passion for the outdoors shine through in every aspect of their operation. Reid, Adam, Sam, and Rod were all excellent hosts and guides. These guys are very hard working and were always around to help make sure the hunting was perfect. They immediately put us on bears, and I saw 5 bears on my first two hunts. I was also fortunate to see Blond Bears on two separate occasions. Everyone in our group got a bear with the opportunity to get another. We had come with a friend, who had come last year and had gotten two bears on his first two days of hunting. On our way home, we met a bunch of hunters, at the airport, who use various other local outfitters, and it immediately became clear that Stone Horse was far superior. This included everything from the camp, to the location of the blinds, the service, and most importantly the number and quality of the bears they saw. Their professionalism and attention to detail make them stand out as one of the premier outfitters in the industry. This was an experience I will never forget! I am by no means a regular hunter, yet Reid, Adam and the guys made me feel welcomed and set me up for a great experience. They were very keen on ensuring that I was enjoying my time and was always willing to do the little things — getting our heat going in our tents before we returned at night to adding an extra layer of blind. The meals were great and the company of everyone was perfect. If you are thinking of hunting black bear, you have to contact Stone Horse Outfitters!

I had a great experience with these guys! From the pickup at the airport with Reid and the setup and knowledge from Adam! These guys work hard at making the hunt stress free and put you on some great stands! The guides were hilarious and awesome to spend time with! The cooks are equally just as entertaining! I hunt all over, and would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a quality hunt with plenty of bears and great personalities in the personnel!
